MS64+BN I think the weakness on the obverse (especially near the L of liberty) and slight weakness over part of the reverse keep it just below 65.
Well said...:thumb: However, I can't say that I know the difference between "properly" and "improperly" cleaned. I thought all cleanings were improper.
I guess a soak in water couldn't hurt , but any dipping of copper is improper , but silver is dipped all the time by knowledgeable people , even tpgs dip silver and gold coins .
1. I would grade this coin an AU-58 BN (little bit of wear I think on the beaded area) 2. I think it should also be noted that this coin is not an 1845 Large Cent as the title infers It's an 1846
MS65 BN small date Thanks for the contest Jello. It says grade a 1845 however we are grading an 1846.
MS-68. Cleaned. Small date. jello, the date is 1846, isn't it? Thanks for the contest. The coin is lovely.
