Maybe but hair lines don't always mean cleaning some of the older coinage were struck with lines. back then there was no die polishing so lines could have been parts of engraving.
The details are great but it does look like somebody did some serious scrubbing in the field under his chin. I agree AU details, cleaned.
Sorry Bro , I'm thinking it's been cleaned to , especialy under his chin . AU , but still a beauty of a coin . Does it have cartwheel ?
Yes and no on cleaning as I said above die polishing wasn't a part of striking back then. I post as soon as it's back from Ngc.
You have it in hand , so then I'll say AU-55 . I love it , but never heard of the guy on it . King so and so . LOL
AU - Details. Cleaned. The hairlines are all parallel running from southwest to northeast on the obverse. Still a very presentable example of the coin never the less.
guliemus the latin for William---he was the 3rd son of George 111,younger brother of George iv and uncle of queen Victoria.he became king because all the other heirs died, and he died leaving no direct heir.he reigned 1830-1837--Victoria reigned from 1837-1901 the longest serving monarch---at the moment--the queen will pass her very soon.
