Government Tracking of Thieves

    I would lay money that more coins are lost from collectors through theft from a relative than any other source. Where do you REALLY think items like IHC in circulation occasionally come from?

    Even unintentionally, kids raiding the cookie jar for spending money... or kids' friends pinching some items from their friends house for the same.

    There are many many risks keeping collections at home... other people's knowledge of those things in your home is a huge risk.

    Thank you. My uncertainty as to the legitimacy of these coins is what led me to use the word "stories" in reference to them. Though science fiction-y imaginations to protect coins have been mounting and there's always the remote possibility that some such approach has been considered or may someday be enacted to attempt to protect such objects. "If it can be thought, it can be created." comes to mind, but just because it's created it still may not escape the melting pot. LOL!
