Hotels hike prices because they know they have people that MUST stay in hotels for a certain amount of time, so prices go up for those weeks. Nobody MUST buy gold but I guess they will...I look at them as longer term investment and dont sell it even when the price went up to 1000, hundreds more than I paid.
