some woodies I got... I also got a 1941 somewhere around here and as soon as I find it and snap some pics of it I'll post these are fun to find :thumb: 1981-D 1981-P 1973-S 1980-D
I was about ready to say that is an environmental woodie, but the more I look at it the more I think it is a real woodie. I am sure Doug is going to say it cannot happen (a one sided woodie), but I see nothing on it to say it is environmentally caused. Nice coin, BTW!
I've probably got close to 50 woodies in the cent variety, but none are older that the mid 1950's, and most are 1961-1982. I did find this dime a while back and didnt know what it (or a woodie) was until I learned about them here at CT.
I don't think i've ever seen a post-1982 woody Lincoln. I'm not sure it's possible since the composition changed to a zinc coin that is just copper plated. Anyone have any post-1982 examples that prove me wrong???
Hello all, first post here on Cointalk...seems there's quite a few Lincoln lovers around here with good taste, which is great in my book. I mainly collect colorful Lincoln cents, but I've picked up a few woodies along the way...here are two of my favorites, a greenwood and a redwood 1929 MS64BN 1955-S MS65RD
