I know this the US Forum, but I have a French coin that looks "woody". I posted a thread in the World forum a while back and didn't get any response.


Any thoughts on its "woodiness" are welcome.

Your pictures make it look like it has been cleaned, but, yes, it appears to be a woody. BTW, is that coin rotation or medal rotation?

 

Picked up this 1919-S woodie this weekend.

Nice 1940-S large mint mark ?

 

Unless you know something not on Lincoln Cent Resource, that is 41 with the large S. And it correlates to the small S from 41.
