    Correct, that is lamination; pretty significant lamination at that.

    Thank you! I pulled that out of a bulk silver collection I stupidly bought off ebay; it turned out okay in the end. The 1918 Lincoln Cent also had lamination on its reverse, around the 1:00.

    Laminations ate not uncommon with woodies. Improper mixing by itself can be enough to cause the lamination. Impurities may even cause the mixing problem.

    Nice. I've encountered 1980 woodies, but for some reason most only show on a single side.

    You ended up with that one after all. I ended up not pulling the trigger on it because in the images I saw that apparent gash arcing from in front of Lincoln's head. Is that a struck-through or damage?

    Yeah, it is damage and it is AU, but I do like the grain. BTW, I waited until the second listing.
