We all dispose of things which we later regret. (While I've never sold a coin, 26 yrs ago I sold my Corvette to fund something else...a regret I've tried to replace, but for me, not the same.)
These seem to be very nice specimens...I think you did well!
That's how I do it too, you have seller's remorse and you get another coin to 'fill that hole' so to speak.
They will fill the void very well.
I will never look at them with the same excitement as the ones I was fortunate to dig out of the ground my self.
Just curious, where were you metal detecting? I haven't heard of many Roman coins found in Texas, but you never know.
I sold this Domitian denarius six years ago and still regret it. As a unique variant, it will be almost impossible to replace.
