Finally got me a good score - a 1936 Buffalo Nickel in the roll from bank. I was so happy, even though not worth a lot, made me feel that all my searching was not wasted. I try to trade them in several times a week. Generally I find that there are more older nickels than any other coin. I haven't found any wheaties yet.

Does anyone else have a problem with bank tellers always trying to give you back currency for rolls, looking at you like you're crazy, don't understand that you want MORE rolls, and asking WHY you want them. So far, only one time this hasn't happened. The last girl's face got so twisted up like I was insane, I thought she was going to turn into a pretzel. Twice, the on duty LEO seemed to want in on the discussion as well. What a hassle! I often get hubby to trade them in for me too, and he also told me he always gets hassled as well.

Told the last guy who hassled me - I BANK HERE, where else am I supposed to get them - and he said "well, we only have so many blah blah blah, and I will have to get them out of vault." I took him forever, and then he was so dumb, he asked me if I wanted "new" ones - and I said sure, I will take one roll each of the 2002's if you have them -- He didn't know they were not NEW, I had to tell him, that they probably were not -- and they of course, weren't. Most of the tellers are real young and dumb, but even an older lady thought I was bonkers. I do not look like a thug or anything.
