Rev: YEΛHTΩN. lion standing on exergual line; above dolphin between I and Φ. SNG ANS 1375-6. Weight: 7.3 g. Diameter: 17.5 mm.
Oh MAN! That is a very cool hobo nickel! Do you know when it was carved? Where did you find it? Is the obverse also altered?
Eh...it's not my nickel. I don't collect them, but I grab images whenever I see really interesting ones.

A hemifelidrachm, perhaps Thrace, Chersonesos AR hemidrachm 400 - 350 BC 13mm, 2.3gm Obverse: forepart of a lion right, head reverted Reverse: quadripartite; incuse; dot A and pentagram in opposing depressions I haven't yet looked for the references and full attribution
Oh my, Steve/Jerry/Bob-- That's quite a pride. I got a Seljuks of Rum a week or two ago. It's slabbed (ick), just got it in the mail a couple days ago. Haven't set it free and taken pictures yet.
