nds76; Hay man, it don't look good for a grown man to be laying on the floor kicking and screaming. Sit back and do some thinking for a change. First of all it has only been barely 2 days since you posted the first message on this subject. Not exactly a great amount of time, really. You should give the guy a chance to make a response and that should be up to and as much as a couple of weeks if necessary. A lot of things could have happened. How would you feel if you later found out that he was laying in ICU at the hospital following a crash right after posting the package to you in the first place. So don't get up so tight, it's only money. He never said any thing about your wife of mother, that I know of. One more thing...that feedback you say he already left for you, and your not being worried. Well, that can come back to bite you, because feedback can be changed under certin conditions. So be carefull as to what you do. That play is yours, but I'm thinking you are the main reason they have made up so many rules and regulations these days, when it once was good enough to receive a hand shake. Give the guy a little breathing room.
I agree with Old Dan. Two days isn't long enough, give it at LEAST 2 weeks, maybe longer. Especially on such a small dollar item. Most sellers (the ones I've "talked' to, anyway) would rather try to make you happy than have the negative, ESPECIALLY when the cost to them is so low.
It's at day 3 now. I know if I was a seller I would have rectified the situation immediately. I wouldn't mess around and wait days to correct the problem. But I decided to keep the coins I revieved and move on. I just won't do business with this seller anymore. $10 is a cheap lesson learned. David
Well...they don't but shipping would cost about $1.55 and then you only have $1.45 left...I think that would cover a bubble envelope. Speedy
Have you sent another email. Email messages do get lost and computers do go bad on people. Sorry that you're having such a problem. eBay can be very frustrating.
Yes, I have sent 3 e-mails. One was never responded to, one was bounced, and I sent another one this morning. I feel I have givin ample time to respond. David
Hi David! I know this situation must be frustrating for you... especially because you still just want your 10 sets of P & D buffalo nickels. Just out of curiosity, were your e-mail messages to the seller sent through eBay or directly from your e-mail account to the seller's? I only ask because I've seen a couple of situations where e-mail messages I received from a seller through eBay came from one e-mail address, and then shipping notification/updates came from another address. Sometimes people don't keep up with all of their various e-mail addresses on a regular basis. Also, have you tried calling the seller? If you don't have his number, you can request the "contact information" from eBay. You'll receive an e-mail message (from eBay) with the seller's name, address and phone number. This might also be a good idea because, when you request contact info for another member, eBay sends your contact info to that individual as well (with some kind of message that you initiated a request for the seller's contact info). That way, the seller will be doubly aware of the fact that you are trying to get in touch with him. Finally, when I took a look at the feedback that the seller has left for others, I noticed that the last date he posted feedback was May 17 -- a day before you sent your first e-mail message. He hasn't made a bid or listed any new auctions (as far as I can tell with my limited eBay searching abilities) since May 17. So, indeed, he might be on vacation or away (at least from eBay and/or the Internet). I know that doesn't resolve your situation (in wanting to get your P & D nickel sets), but I think you might want to give this one a little more time before you post any negative or neutral feedback. After all, you still have plenty of time to neg the guy... if you wish. Check out his "Left for Others" feedback during the coming week or two. If you see that he has left feedback (which means that he has logged onto eBay and so has Internet access) but he hasn't responded to you, then you can decide if you want to give him a negative or neutral. Hopefully, everything will get resolved soon! - Andrew
Maybe you can get together with ussaty and buy a pair of his extra rolls: http://www.cointalk.org/thread6804-i-think-i-ordered-too-many-nickel-rolls-from-the-mint.html
