As many of you know one of the things that got me started in collecting was my father's collection, that was passed down to him, as a partial collection from my grandpa, in 1991. My grandpa had around $250,000 in coins. Now this short set was just that, a short set, a short set, nowhere near the value of of my grandpa's collection, not even close, but it did contain some nice coins. My mom, searching for something of mine, was looking in a briefcase, this briefcase has a lot of my baby stuff in it, along with things that my parents saved for me, that were significant. My mom came downstairs with a coin and asked if I'd seen it before. I said no and inspected it, it was a 1917 WLH, no mintmark from what I can see, pretty worn, maybe a G6. It has a white color though, not a grey worn, that I normally see on worn walkers. It also has some black dots on lady liberty. It is housed in a 2x2, with my grandpa's writing on it. "1917" "WWI" "Silver" "Scarce" and the value of "$5.50" I would post pics, but still laying in bed, can't really get my setup ready. Well that's my story. Maybe there are other hidden coins, lying around?
