Picked this up a while ago and am just getting time to post it. This Gallienus with a goat reverse is a nice add to my collection as this is my first non-mythical animal from the "zoo" series. Despite the crack, which I believe is as much a lamination through the flan as it is a crack, I like the strong features of the goat and the full if not fully struck up legends.

Considering the shoddy (but interesting) coins struck under Gallienus, your new goat is in great shape! A real winner :)

I don't have a Gallienus goat but do have some hover goats :D

While you are right about the coin's faults, that is a great goat. I'll offer a Greek goat coin. TIF beat me to the other one I like.

    Hover goats - I believe! I believe!

I am reviving this old thread because I just got a Macedonian AE of Philip V that appears to be just like TIF's - "hover goats" with a crescent and grain ear below (and TIF's example here helped me attribute it - examples with both crescent and grain ear are not abundant online - thanks, TIF!).

This is one of those coins I was iffy about when I bid on it, but when I got in hand I was thrilled - not that it is in very good shape, although it does look better in hand than my lousy photos indicated.

Anyway, any other new Goats out there since April last year?
