Gordian III as Augustus (241-243) Fake?

    Thank you for the detailed response I appreciate that. To be honest the edge of the Gordian III was the question mark for me about being a fake (looked sandcast to me) but looks like the actual surface was the question mark which seems to be some kind of environmental damage or cleaning "suffering".

    OYΛΠIAC ΠAYTAΛIAC, Lion walking right.
    Moushmov 4342; Ruzicka 852
    (note: ΓETAC K correct but the lion a bit different)
