Sold for $260 USD! I remember buying better ones than this for less than $20 just a few years ago... Looks like a couple of bidiots went at it... https://www.ebay.com/itm/South-Kore...vip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m43663.l10137
Interesting! Many times I have seen items on eBay with inflated prices. Maybe you should sell the ones you have mlov43! Just add the link to this sale in your item description.
Hmm... Not sure this isn't just a fluke. I'm not interested in selling mine. I mostly just write about these coins...
Are these key dates? I wouldn't look twice at a Korean coin in a junk bin honestly. I know nothing about them.
It's not a surprise - trying to find such high grade 'brass' coin is getting harder. Its definitely harder for new collectors to crack into the market... On the other hand, it's good for old time collectors when It's time for them to sell their collection towards their retirement. I know I wouldn't be able to duplicate my collection as some Korean Coins that I own just don't appear in the market at all...
Yep. 1969 is a key. Almost as hard to find in UNC/BU as the "big key date" 1970 88% Cu - 12% Zn variety. 10-Won coins to look for in those junk bins: 1966~1970, 1973 and 1975. Even in circulated condition, those 1966~1970 dated coins are increasing in value, it seems.
