Golden toning

    The image is pretty close. If anything, it is a little brighter orange than it is in hand. In hand it's a bit more golden looking.

    Here is another golden Buff. A very common 38 D, and even though the 38 D's are known for good strikes, this one is REALLY hammered.

    Honestly, many coins with gold toning look rather sickly to me. For example, many of the coins in this thread have acquired their "golden" hue after being dipped and improperly rinsed. It is certainly possible to have attractive golden toning, but its not a look that I normally prefer.
