I’ve completed two PCGS pre-1933 gold registry sets. The coins from the 8-piece set carry over into the 12-coin set. If you’re so inclined, I’d be as pleased as punch if you’d take a look. Thanks! 8-coin set: https://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/ty...ulation-strikes-1839-1933/publishedset/191526 12-coin set: https://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/type-sets/complete-type-sets/gold-type-set-12-piece-circulation-strikes-1839-1933/publishedset/198085
My best "Wimpy" interpretation: I'll gladly pay you tomorrow for one of your gold coins today! Awesome sets. Chris
That is SWEET!!! I wish I were smart enough to make that St.Gauden photo larger. That appears to be a spectacular piece.
I'm not into the whole registry and type and other collecting things maintained by PCGS and NGC...can you explain what the goal was for each set ? Thanks !
No real goal except assembling a nice set. Studying the coins and choosing the coins was a blast. I’m not worried about my “competitive standing.” Go look at the top 20 or so sets. They’re way out of my league!
If he's like me, it's a way of keeping track of your collection. My 'Bookers' and 'Carvers' are posted on that venue. Helps me immensely, for a forgetful Jones......
Congrats! These days, that's quite an accomplishment. I had 'em all in 63 back in the early days of the Registry, when bullion was dirt cheap. Bought my 1908 NM Saint in a PCGS OGH 63 holder for 400 bucks delivered! Those were the days! Nowadays I can't afford the melt price of anything bigger than a quarter eagle. Sure wish I'd kept that reg set now! *sigh*
