My lcs has both 1/10th ounce maple leafs and philharmonics for the same price. In my modest collection I’m trying to collect one 1/10th ounce coin from each nation that mints one. I already have a maple leaf but I know that online the maples sell at a much higher premium. What one do you like? I’m getting them for $5 over melt. Oh, and no, I can’t buy one of each right now. Thanks for your replies.

I like the Maple Leaf but if you already have one and are building a collection and need the Philharmonic you only have one choice. Buy for profit or collecting?

Kind of both. Maples have high premiums right now. I’d be saving around $50 over the online suppliers right now. That’s hard to pass up

If you will have to pay taxe on gold in California you should buy elsewhere (another state) or meet the buying threshold.

I'd buy the Philharmonic as in my eyes it's a better looking coin, besides no need to have a double! :cigar:
