I believe Angelo. They have enough trouble minting the spouses never mind a special gold Kennedy half. We will probably see a special set in silver. TC

a war wound? as in, he was shot in the hands and he cannot type? or he was standing to close to something that exploded and has brain damage? i didn't mean to mock a veteran. but i also dont think that is the case.
Well I reviewed the law and they are right the Sec Treas DOES have that authority. I was unaware that they had used that authority to issue to create the 2009 UHR. I thought that came from legislation. (I checked and legislation to produce it was introduced but died in committee.) The last time I knew they had tried that trick was with the 2000 gold Sacagawea coins (They had planned to make it a 1/2 oz $5 coin) and they caught a lot of flak over trying it. So I'm surprised they may be trying it again.

Well, if they do make it, being a Kennedy collector, I’ll have to have it. But, they’ll probably make so many of them, they’ll be worth melt, so I’ll wait for gold to tank before I buy one.
the second day of the 3/10-3/11 CCAC meeting is today, i know the Kennedy set wasn't on the agenda, but maybe they will release something about it soon.... fingers crossed...
A mint employee in Baltimore said they hope to have them ready for release at the Chicago ANA, but it still isn't a sure thing.
