gold isn't backed by anything . . .

Did anyone else see the viral video of some MSM anchorwoman telling viewers that the reason gold prices declined was due to suspicions that it "wasn't backed by anything."

If you have, your reaction was probably like mine, "You've got to be sh*tting me."

Is the public perception so pathetically naive? I would like to think not.

It gets better though: She goes on to say that people were investing heavily in treasuries because the dollar is backed by the American government and, by proxy, the American industry and by golly the American people themselves.

I've got news for her, the American people are backing gold. Maybe no $1900 worth . . . yet. But they've backed the price right up a mountain, and it may turn out to be more of a plateau than she, or the government stooges who paid her, would like to admit.

In fact, the American people may eventually back gold so much that they return it to its rightful status as the basis for our paper currency.

Seriously, are they so scared of the shift in popular opinion that they are going to resort to nonesense like that?

Ugh. really? American dollar is back by the government? What about the steady inflation year after year that never stops? gold is backed by its own worth. What is she even talking about?

History is backing gold. It has been the currency of choice since before Christ, and will only continue to maintain that value.

In my opinion, the almighty dollar backed by the federal government is worthless. Te government can't balance it's own budget so how am I to assume that there is any value in what they're printing? I can't.

Right! I think anyone you ask on the street knows that gold is valuable and I wouldn't be surprised if the power elite are trying to fight this common sense with nonsense via the mainstream media.
