Krugerrand are actually legal tender in South Africa. Their face value is given as one ounce of pure gold. For this reason, they sell at, or near, the spot price of gold on the world market.
I've been buying for less than a year, since the price was around $750. And most of my buys were below that price. I'm now just over 25% ahead. I wish I could say the same about my stock market account.
krugerand krugerand have bad lucks. first the america not allowing krugerand to enter the market. second, the krugerand is a bullion coin. it does not carried face value like $100.00 etc. the chinese panda add a face value to it later on. smart way.
and think of all of those junk silver coins that you held onto, when for years it was 4 X face! Finally, payday! Now for the biggie: When the heck is the time to sell?
