Gold Found in Old Vent

    yakpoo, long time no see. Good to see you. By the way, I highly doubt the 1965 quarter was silver. :D

    Funniest and most surprising tale like this I have heard for a while came from a friend at an auction. He collects old toys, and was called to visit a house which was being cleared by the son after his parents had died. They had an old wooden train in the shed which the old man had built for the kids when he was younger. It was homemade and half rotted away, but when my friend picked it up he detected the extra weight of some Lead ballast, so he agreed to buy it for £10.

    When he got it home, he broke open the first carriage, and sure enough there was a few ounces of lead inside. When he broke open the second carriage, he found the ballast was 3x1 ounce Kruggerrands! Now that's what you call a result!

    nice find. you gotta make a car with a camera on it like in Blue Streak lol. that part always has me thinking about whats hidden in houses and forgotten
