The Mint will be selling the last of the Gold Eagle proofs with the Family of Eagles reverse on March 11. They come in the usual four sizes. Mintages are low. Anybody going after one? I smell a quick sellout. Haven’t decided yet whether the potential aggravation is worth it.
$4500 for $3200 worth of gold, not that that matters if there's a frenzy. I'm lazy; how low is a limit of 8200, and how relevant is that fact that that's solely a product limit, not an actual mintage limit?
I might go for a tenth oz. just cause. checked out the pricing table and if i don't really like it maybe I could trade it away for something that better suits my fancy.
I don’t have any age’s because their reverse design is an insulting representative of the insipid imagery coming out of the mint over the past decades. I hope an artist with a grasp of aesthetics creates the new design, but don’t have much faith in that. I’ll stick with pre33 gold.
