Not just the Germans, Seccesionist Texas wants their Gold back, too.

Not sure what are the full implication of Rick Santelli's point, but I think we'll see divergent premiums between PAPER Gold and BULLION at some point in the crisis. In the Gold's Bank Run, maybe?

I would love to see the faces of these proponents of keeping their own gold if they ever have a security "incident", or when the bill for this security is reported.

No one wishing to grandstand ever thinks about that.

Btw, I wonder where all of the gold Chavez took back to Venezuela is. Has anyone asked them lately? I am laying 4-1 odds there is not an ounce left in Venezuela's name, maybe in Chvez's name, but not in the name of the country.

If Texas does take ownership of their gold they'd better stop thinking about seceeding. They've already got their hands full with Mexico.

Talk is cheap and even cheaper on a show like Glenn Beck's Radio Show. I'm glad to hear that Texas wants their gold, now let's see when they actually try to get it. Maybe they won't have a problem. Whatever the case, I don't think it'll change anything as far as the POG unless other States and Countries request their gold all at once. That may create a problem, too early to tell.
