Is this weird toning, or possibly a proof? Found CRH! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1430174542.055675.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1430174557.066657.jpg

Most assuredly not a proof coin. Philly produced all proof coins at the time this coin was struck.

    Why is it gold then?

Perhaps because of the environs it was held in? I'm not a toning expert.......

I have a roll of this date and they all have a gold color to them. Some more than others. So just some toning.

I received some quarters the other day that had been in packaging probably for 6 or 7 years. One side was nice and silver color while the side up against the cardboard was that golden color. So your coin may have lived a life in a paper roll or something similar.
