:thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:I agree 150% well said GDJMSP!!! buy a Book Before u Buy any Coin!! :devil:Gambling on Green bean is can cost your more than Bean noted worth.
Martinizing is a dry cleaning franchise company name. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martinizing_Dry_Cleaning
I won one gold CAC from the SPQR. It is a 1886S $5 in a rattler holder graded ms60. I think it would grade 62 by todays standards. Cost me $599 all in. I thought the $100 or so premium was worth it. With so many gold beans in the auction, a few sloped through the cracks.
I have been buying mostly coins with Green CAC stickers for my Type collection. I really like my CAC coins. But these Gold stickers have nutty prices, as the OP pointed out. Here is one I found today that is about 14 TIMES too expensive! http://www.ebay.com/itm/1941-Mercur...64?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item1e758087f4 A $24 coin for $350!?
People can ask whatever they want. If they want to ask prices like that, they shouldn't expect their coins to sell anytime soon.
They alway think the GOLD CAC Sticker is REAL GOLD 24Kt.. What Next after Gold sticker CAC...maybe it will be combined GREEN & Gold Sticker of CAC...
I agree 100% with this. I am sure you can find plenty of non-CAC coins where someone is asking moon money too. Maybe someone eventually pays, maybe not. It's just that the CAC-gold stickered coins actually tend to SELL at those nutty prices. The Capitalist in me loves this. But as a collector and buyer of coins, I will steer clear of this madness.
