Sifting the bins again. This time the pile was huge with 140 hand selected world coins and I find

    1931 5 Aurar in XF/AU
    1926 2 Aurar XF/AU
    1925 1 Krona F/VF

    all for $25 :hail:

They are nice coins and undervalued but I fear you are overgrading quite a bit. World grading standards are much tougher than US standards and this could be a problem when you go to sell.

I'm sure you'd want me to say something.

Perhaps they look better in hand than the pictures. I'm especially concerned with the copper.

I appreciate your honesty. I figured I probably graded on the high side. What would be more realistic grades and what do you see on the copper?
    Thank you

I'd say it's a low end F, nice (but dark) VF, and a decent XF.

They're not bad coins but these dates are much tougher in higher grades.

Thanks Cladking. I was using the dots in the center of the crown as a wear reference. Are there any other good areas to check? No matter what, I was super excited to find these in the 5/$1 bin.

At 5/ $1 they were a steal. They're worth perhaps $18 retail and 5 wholesale if there's a buyer. The cu/ ni is just poundage or a little better.

I just didn't want you to learn after years of overpaying that you were buried in your coins. It's a great hobby and finding bargains is pretty easy but these days are coming to an end since a lot of the world coins are going to start going home.

They're a great start on an Iceland collection since these older dates are tough except heavily worn.
