I don't ever recall the mint minting an eleven cent piece `cept remembering that one feller, niwder? Had one. Used to come round these parts, a harvest or three ago. ( southern accent )
Back when I got bored easily I did this several times on some higher dollar coins. Bid 1 or 5 at time till I got to be high - then walk away clearly knowing I was going to lose. Or bid it up until I was high then just a few seconds before the auction ends put in my real top price. I still bid on a bunch of coins at heritage knowing I will loose. It can be fun. I have also seen some coins go on ebay that I bet sellers(and some novices) had no clue what they really had(talking large cents, graded coins, etc) but the bidders did. Seems a couple of them over the years were posted on this forum - with a "why did this go so high".
