The seller&#039;s items sold to the scammer group members of course probably never actually get shipped.</p><p><br /></p><p>Yes, the seller has to pay the eBay seller fees, so there is some cost involved, but they look at the overall picture of scamming enough people to make a very nice profit, and the glowing feedback helps to lure in the mark.</p><p><br /></p><p>Eventually they get banned from eBay, but not before absconding with a lot of money, and chances are they are not in our country legally, so they operate basically with impunity. They know how to keep the amounts of money underneath the radar of law enforcement, and companies or individuals have no interest to pursue legal action because they know the scammer will likely never be found.</p><p><br /></p><p>In this particular case, shame on eBay for not banning this seller account by now considering all the negs.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
