http://www.ebay.com/itm/metal-pennies-/252613625826?hash=item3ad0f207e2:g:42YAAOSwB09YF0rT Metal Pennies! "1943 in excellent condition from all three minutes!"
Not just metal, but genuine steel, the strongest of all coinage metals! What could be better? Definitely worth $100K.
Heck, Chris, I'd sell them some marsh land with a river for the bridge to go over for that much. Steve
Is this a joke? I'd like to be able to laugh with you, but I'm more inclined to laugh at you, @coinman1234.
Some sellers do not have a clue as to what they have to offer, so they put up a ridiculous price in hopes someone will bite. If not, there is the option the seller is giving to make an offer. Nothing like looking for bigger fish Huh ?
We always laugh at these ridiculous eBay listings, but I wonder how many sellers actually get their asking price? I know the odds are low but, what if , the guy actually got the $100,000? Hmmmmm
Some ridiculous offerings do seem to be scams, but the majority are likely due to the above. Consodering how the average person usually assumes "old" coins to be very "valuable", it makes perfect sense...
Well you could look at it another way....... As there could be someone from West Virginia who believed this to be a good investment Then who's the mentally challenged ? Is the glass half full ...or half empty?
