    Hard green deposits sitting on the surface of coins are often hoard deposits. If the green appears to be below the coin surface....corrosion.

    I respectfully must disagree. Corrosion on coins can appear above the surface or into it. Hoard coins can be corroded (before they are cleaned and disbursed). Unless the "patina" :hilarious::hilarious: is pretty, and even - it's corrosion.
