I've been interested in collecting coins of this era (WW2)...Can anyone tell me more about these...specs and value... I don't condone what Hitler was about or what he did...its just the history behind it 20200527_185627.jpg 20200527_185646.jpg

Fantasy medal produced well after WWII.

These are all over ebay and other sites, they were not made during the WWII era. Either fanatic-made commemorative or pieces meant to scam new collectors, I can only assume who/why they made them.

It glorifies a mass murderer and is disgusting.

I didn't ask for your opinion of Hitler, I asked about the token. I don't agree with what he did either but I like WW2 history regardless....unless you have information about its composition or value I'd appreciate no more from yo .

I would be a bit surprised to find that this token was made in Germany.
The swastikas on the reverse are not at a proper 45° angle.
The ones on the obverse are better.
The Crimea (KRIM) noted on the obverse bring up some interesting history.

It looks like a fake made for tourists.

It's a cool coin, whether it was made in WW2 or not.

I agree...and for the price I paid it doesn't matter to me. Its just a novelty piece and I know that. This group sure isn't what it used to be. There was a time that you could post anything coin related bere and not get attacked for it. It reminds me of some facebook groups.

I like the WW2 stuff is neat. I like that era, I don't have a lot of world stuff from that era but I do have a couple of 5 reichmark coins that a man gave me that was celebrating the formation of the nazi party or something like that I don't remember but they are silver and they are a cool part of history

I have this token that I do not post mostly due to the reaction it can get from people. It combines the best of both worlds. (Circa 1970)

Adolph's goal in life as he once said is roughly I don't care if I am loved or hated as long as I am not forgotten. Well it looks like he has succeeded.

Most of these types of coins/medals were produced in East Germany in the 1970's. This particular example is actually a 5 reichsmark coin, not a medal, and isn't even a replica or duplicate, it's just marking a historic event - Germany controlling the Crimea from 1941 to 1942.
