Hello fellow collectors, I recently received this medal. Sadly I wasnt able to find anything close to this thing in the internet so I can just tell you the things I see and read having it in hand. So first the legend celebrates the date 25.10.1938 having something to do with a military unit: The 10th Company XI ? J.R. 12. The missing part is possbly a date from the late 18th century (starting with 17)? It seems to be made from gilded porcelain? It weights 60,35g Its diameter is around 85mm Its unifaced. The figure seen on the obverse pretty surely is a german military hero or general from the napoleonic wars. I cant really bring my self to safely call him King Frederik William III. of prussia but its the first person I would think about seeing this bust. So does anyone have ever seen anything like this? Does anyone maybe know what unit is celebrating what event on this medal? Thanks in advance for every advice
