The mint state one looks like this,i personally love the design, its a shame they minted so many that it's value remains low. The proof is beautiful as well.

I carry around a 1891-O Morgan Dollar with me...when I started carrying it I think it would have graded VG...now it is F2 if not lower :D :D

Does anyone have a Red Book price for the 1982S Proof George Washington $1/2? It is listed in Krause, but it is unpriced for some strange reason.

$6.50 - for once the Red Book is pretty close.

The GW is a nice coin for a young collector... mine, for instance. The local coin dealer has it for $5.

I did get the Statue of Liberty first (speaking of even higher mintage) because it's shown in a videotape done by the ANA and hosted by Darth Vader... oops, I mean James Earl Jones... and I thought it would be cool for Thalia Elizabeth to have one that was actually on the tape.

The same local coin dealer carries around an Eisenhower dollar as his pocket piece. It's inching closer to "Blank-zero".

If you want it,then buy it.It's a bargain at US$5,especially if the dealer is offering you a Proof one!
