Yes, it is. I would assume anyways, could be his signature? I got it from the guy, that made it, at the Puerto Rico Mint. He also got copies of the document and the drawing from the Smithsonian Institute.

Puerto Rico is a great place to visit, I've been on a couple of Cruise Ships, that Docked there for the Night .

Are you sure this is authentic? I have my doubts but it could be the lightning. Can you post the weight?

I think its authentic, I hope anyways...it would be hard to weigh, as I have it stapled in a non pvc flip. should I be concerned about authenticity? if so I will remove and weigh it. it cost me a pretty penny. so I hope its real. I weighed it 21.5 grams. Dang!, looked it up it should weigh 25 grams. must be a counterfeit. I bought it from a friend who inherited a lot of old coins....:( maybe I will take ALL of my non graded coins and research and weigh them...dang counterfeits stink!

I believe it is a modern restrike. There is a seller on eBay with 9 available at $50 each.

in this instance, does restrike mean fake? my guess would be yes

It's not a US Mint pattern, if that's what you're asking.

The coin in the plastic flip, yes. I don't know about the coins in airtites in first pictures, but the last one in bcw, yes.

Do you realize that Puerto Rico does not have a mint, and never did ?
