Hey guys! Thank you ALL for your comments - sorry for the delayed response on my part (been a hectic week over here.) I'll see if I can add some additional images in about an hour or so - including an unedited (not cropped) top down shot of the cutout shape, better/more varied images of the edge, etc. Again, thank you, and I'll do my best to show the coin better so we can figure out if it's genuine or not (based on more information than I've provided.) I've had the coin for a while - bought it as part of a much larger lot that has long been paid for, so its' cost is essentially zero. In other words, I would just like to know if it's genuine or not in case I decide not to keep it. Thanks, see you in a bit with some new images.
Okay, folks - here are some more shots of the coin. Feel free to dissect, discuss, assess, judge. It's a coin, and this is a learning experience, so all I want is to know the truth. If I need to provide any further images, just let me know and I'll do my best. As usual, THANKS! Obverse (no circle crop) Reverse (no circle crop) Top corner of clip Bottom corner of clip
I think it is real. Mine is much smaller but the Blakesley effect is more obvious on the reverse (next to America) than the obverse. The "clip" is also slightly different one side to the other with wider rims going into the clip on only the obverse. Hope this helps... Edit: Great pics!
