I'm currently working to complete my modern commemorative half dollar set. This set is problematic in that it now has two of the "curved" designs: the '14 baseball and the most recent '19 apollo commem. I normally keep my coins in the traditional stapled 2x2's in the traditional 20-pocket 3-ring binder page. The problem with this method is that the two curved examples won't store easily as the 2x2's and the binder page don't have enough "give" to hold the thicker pieces. I've read that while the safe mylar 2x2s are rigid, there are more flexible versions of them that might have enough stretchiness to hold the curveds but that doesn't solve the page issue. I also thought about trying the adhesive type but after reading up on those in previous threads, I'm concerned with the glue in the adhesive. I looked into the air-tight and lighthouse capsules. Both brands make sizes for the normal halves but none that fit the two curved models. And I considered using the round-hole storage pages for the normal halves but then discovered that the mint capsules are larger than the holes in the capsule storage pages. So for every method I try, there is always an exception. I like my sets neat and organized but I can't come up with a system that will store both the normal halves and the curved halves in the same system. (And I don't even want to think about the same problems with the larger dollars). Any thoughts? The only thing I can think of that might be truly "universal" is the basic clear plastic flips but I'd prefer to not have the coins loose and sliding around like that.
