    That's a wonderful top ten!!

    My favorites are the JC, Agrippa, Vespasian and Caracalla---all of which I'd happily call my own and add to my top ten as well:)

    Great write-up. I enjoy reading how others decide what to collect. I like that a modest coin completed a set for you and made your list at #10.

    Well done on a nice group for 2017. It's always interesting to read the little insights as to how and why a coin was purchased, or why it became important to its owner. You added some great pieces to your collection. Thanks for sharing.

    Great selections, Gavin! I must say that my favorite is the Vespasian Judaea Capta denarius (#4). That's just me though—they're all very impressive. My hat's off to you for your excellent work directing your university's ancient coin archives.
