Competition drove EVERYTHING in my generation's educational experience from Kennedy's Commission on Physical Fitness (a competition) to the most recent previous angry political era (Viet Nam/Nixon/Watergate). It WAS the way we were brought up, and "Kum Bay Yah" does tend to bug us to no end. Hey, parents' generation routinely used words, without ill intent, that would now be bleeped on TV. Even early Saturday Night Live re-runs can't be aired unbleeped.[/QUOTE]
