Peck listed 3 Peck 1983s in the BM, Mint Museum and Bank of England Museum, but whether they are all correctly assigned, I don&#039;t know. So to summarise, the population lists have a P1983 (which wasn&#039;t and I&#039;m not aware of any more) and no Freeman 689s (with this the only one I am aware of but is no longer entombed). The mint was clearly having an issue with sheet/flan preparation, or striking force required for the thinner flans at this time.
