    1811 was a transition year in Mexico City with the old Armored Bust of Ferdinand VII design being replaced by the Draped Bust.

    There are also a couple of varieties, like the over-assayer HJ/TH and over-date 1811/0

    That 1811/10 overdate seems the perfect segue to slide into 1810.

    1810 has one of the key dates in the Mexico Portrait 8 Reales series. The scarce assayer combination TH, as well as the over-date and over-assayers.
