    How about two-stepping into 1692?

Dutch Republic, Campen, lion daalder, 1692.
    Davenport 4879
    26.70 grams

1692 was the next to last year for lion daalder minting at Campen.

GB Crown, 1692. I think this design, only after the 1847 Gothic Crown, is one of the best designed GB coins.
The 2 in the date is blundered by the die maker. They found the new layout of the date around the centre very confusing!

A candidate for the grottiest coin on this thread, but still interesting I think.
GB Halfpenny, 1691, struck in Tin with a copper plug.
Tin does not survive well in the ground or in cold weather, so good examples of these are very hard to find. The copper plug was part of the minting process and reduced the rate of corrosion due to an electrolytic effect.
The combination of the double bust on the obverse and the remains of the numeral 1 at the end of the date make 1691 the only possible date for this coin.

I hope we are safe to move onto 1690?
    My offerings:
GB Fourpence - decent condition despite the flan crack.
Irish "Gun Money" half Crown, May 1690. For those who don't know, these were issued by the exiled James II during his attempts in Ireland to regain the throne. They were effectively promissory coins, struck in base metal and redeemable for real money if and when he won the war. They were issued with a month, the idea being that they would be redeemed in date order. The value is indicated by the Roman numerals XXX for 30 pennies, which was half a crown. Only struck in 1689 and 1690.

I can only add to the Gun money examples with this April 1690 Shilling. There are some great coins here particularly the Crown posted by @robinjojo upload_2025-2-13_20-33-33.gif upload_2025-2-13_20-34-19.gif
