'1849' halfpenny made from a modified 1850 something halfpenny on account of the dots on the shield. This is the piece referred to by Peck in the footnote to this issue. 1849 is a non-existent date in the series.

1849 was my first year without any coin but now I can continue:
Kingdom of Belgium - 5 Francs - 1848 - King Leopold I.

 

1848 pattern 'Godless' florin with filleted head and ONE DECADE/VR in quatrefoil reverse, both designs were unadopted.


1848 pattern 'Godless' florin with the unadopted laureate head obverse and the adopted reverse design, but with the unadopted legend ONE DIME. This has been recut over FLORIN, suggesting that although the design had been accepted, the final legend was still undecided. It also lays to rest the idea that these were produced as a set of 27 because there are 3 pairs of double reverses with what must have been the 6 original proposed designs. The ONE DIME is only known with the adopted reverse design paired with the 3 proposed obverse designs.


I'm still looking for an example of the adopted obverse paired with the 100 Milles, ONE CENTUM and wreath reverse
