I would suggest one year per day. The next day could start at 12:01 AM
EST. I will start contributing in about 500+ days from now. I have nothing

Could do it that way, although last time through we went with "24 hours without a post allows the next poster to move on one year".
This allows for some dates throwing up a lot of posts and giving people time to digest and reply.

 

The years 1600-2021 should not be problem. There are dozens of
collectors here on CT that can help take the thread back to 1600 A.D.
The time limit for each year is up to the participants.

 

Unfortunately I don't have images of any of my other 2020s handy.

French Polynesia 100 Francs. As no 2020 coins seem to have been released, and a new coin series is being introduced this year that will replace both these and the New Caledonia coins, it's likely this is the last coin of this type.

 

I don't really love any of the modern British coin designs, but I keep some of them for completeness. Here are a couple of 2019 issues, both "packet only" (which I hate!), but it will keep the thread going:

The idea is to keep posting the same year until everyone runs out of steam on that year (usually 24 hours plus with no new posts) and then we move onto the next year.

I agree with Paddy. Long time ago, when I was new on CT, I was in too much of a hurry to move on to the next earlier year, and caused some people to miss out on posting some of their coins. There is no hurry to advance (regress?) back in time. Sooner or later we will reach some end point and run out of steam.

No pictures to add yet, but happy to see this thread bumped. I had lost track of it and wondered what happened. Going by the posts of March 18/19 2020 it looks like it was called. And considering what was going on then at work and in life, well I'm not surprised I lost track! I'll look forward to this thread...and it was the impetus for many a photo project. Time to (literally) blow the dust off my camera! (Okay it's under some protection but still dusty).
