1714 George I coronation medal in lead by Nicolaus Seelander, 131mm, 836 gms (Medallic Illustrations II, 426/15). Seelander's design had no chance of becoming the offical coronation medal over the traditional design by J. Crocker.

Seems to have gone very slow here - I will keep moving it on a year every 24 hours or so unless anyone objects?
Here is a British Shilling 1712. (I have changed my camera set up - not sure if this is better or not!)

Queen Anne looks like a monarch who would have your head on a platter, she has a rather stern look. Her big mistake was to sack the Duke Of Marlborough during the War of the Spanish Succession.

On On then! For 1710 I have a threepence as my best coin:

... and regarding the comments about her temper - as she suffered from chronic ill-health, was obese and endured 17 pregnancies without any surviving children, I guess she had a right to be bad-tempered!
