1779 Two Skilling from the Kingdom of Denmark. The poor lighting and the dust are also from the same period…

Ruler: Christian VII (Represented by the “C7” on the obverse, I assume.)

    .343 Silver

We have been using 24 hours (or close to) from the 1st post for the year. Welcome back.

Thank you! Two funerals, two court cases, assisting an elderly mother and an elderly aunt, serving on a couple boards, and managing my male modelling career ;) has made me miss at least a hundred+ years worth of coins. Oh, the shame. Oh, the guilt.

At least I'll always have 1778...

I marvel at the beautiful examples that all of you present for our viewing pleasure. Thank you for putting up with my rather pedestrian offerings. :sorry:

How about an Italian States 1777 one soldo from the Duchy of Milan?

Copper, and about 23mm diameter. Ruler: Maria Theresa the Worn Flat

Here is one of my 1777 coins...
    AV Friedrich's d'or 1777-A Berlin Mint
King Friedrich Der Grosse of Preussen
He took on three mighty Empires (Russian/French/Holy Roman) and came out on top. In reality his armies won over three women/ Madame De Pompadour (Louis XV's mistress, who wore the pants) Czarina Elizabeth of Russia/ Maria Theresia of the Holy Roman Empire. 27707eef844cd27cf08b467e81329f81.jpg
