Pavlos You pick out the big men. I'll make them brave!

It would be nice if there is more participation :(
I intentionally added the part that if you know for sure you are correct, you can continue with the next portrait, just to speed things up. No idea how to speed this up even more.

Maybe if we had up to three ongoing portraits to guess? Or would that get too complicated? Perhaps it could work if the submitter gave the portrait a name so it's clear which question you're answering. e.g. here's "Freddy":

    Who is Freddy really?

Plus we're still working on "George":

Thanks, Sev! I thought the portrait *might* be confused with Clodius Albinus, but not to the sharp-eyed Spaniard :D.

Pretty sure I know who Sue is, but I'll leave her to someone else. For the moment a hint on Freddy: this is a very late Roman provincial coin...

OK, Freddy is still in play:

The hint is late Roman provincial coin, and we know it's after Philip. Since it's not Alexandrian, and the last provincials from elsewhere were issued under Tacitus, that doesn't leave all that many options...

And here's a new one, a deity this time, "Lindsay":

    Is 'Freddy' Gallienus?

Nope. Still later, and not Tacitus. Super easy now. :)

I can not speak for others but the reason I don't participate in this thread very much is laziness. I have a photo of each coin in my collection. All show both sides of the coin and include the legends if the coin has any. This thread requires producing a new crop of existing images or shooting a new one. I did this back when the thread was new but laziness took over. I would post a guess on images posted by others but I do not want to be correct and commit myself to making the next photo. That makes the thread less fun. I don't see an answer.
