Gallienus, I think, is under appreciated and overly condemned as an emperor. Not much that poor SOB could do as the empire disintegrated before his eyes. That face that he maintained a center core of the empire intact during his reign despite barbarian invasions, internal revolts, economic instablility, etc is amazing. This allowed the later reunification of the empire under Aurelian. I'm too lazy to research it myself, but what is the inscription on the reverse of the coin? Good stuff.
