It looks like that bill was introduced in the house on 9/18/08 but hasn't gone anywhere from there. So, I doubt it's going to happen but it has been proposed.

those 350,000 maximum mintage are more realistic. trying to figure out which one is more potential to increase value in the future. maybe i choose civil rights.

The list included both the proposed and the accepted programs.

Are you sure on that? I thought the Boy Scout dollar passed. (If so that should close off 2010. The House passed it May 16th, and the Senate passed it Sept 29th. Found it. Signed into law by President Bush Oct 8th 2008.

Sorry, you are right. The boy scout bill passed and will be minted in 2010.

It was the girl scout one that did not passed.

Yeah, I'm an Eagle Scout and plan to buy several of the scout ones, it's for the 100th birthday. When you think of the hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, of community benefit hours the scouts have put in over the past ten decades, it's pretty flooring, pretty amazing!

You left out the fact that they discriminate.

I will not buy this coin.

I still think they should make a Titanic Coin in 2012.
