If the Fed is forced to start printing money in order to pay for the AIG/fannyfreddy bailout, then there's going to be all sorts of new coins...like they had in Mexico and Argentina.

it look like the six designs for bald eagle are good for reverse only. by letting it on the obverse look not so impressive. because usually the reverse were eagles and seals.

    ...probably. :D

It's kind of stupid though, the whole point was the 50th anniversary of NASA which is 2008 (1958-2008). Doing it in 2009 kind of defeats the point of commemorating the anniversary.

    I agree.

I personally didn't care for the commemorative set anyway. They had one for each planet and the sun. I can't remember what was on the reverse...but it was a 10 coin set. I could easily come up with 10 NASA events that could highlight a their history.

Yeah think? Like Apollo 11,12,13,14,15,16 ?

its just ...it is amazing. Have you ever seen 2001 Space odyssey

    we're a little behind schedule...

Well, I was thinking more like specific events that encompassed their whole history. Also, if your going to talk about the Apollo program in such detail...I'd recommend adding Apollo 8 to your list. Many consider it the most daring mission of the whole program, even more daring than the Apollo 11 landing.
